McCahon Series: Walk – A Response

Riki Gooch and The Sound Institute perform a sonic journey past the 14 ‘stations’ in Colin McCahon’s sweeping multi-canvas work <EM>Walk (Series C)</EM>.

<P>This composition was performed and recorded live on 23 February 2014 as part of the Walk with Me: McCahon Series of events at Te Papa. </P> <P>Colin McCahon is one of New Zealand’s most celebrated artists. <EM>Walk (Series C)</EM> (1973) is, in part, an imagined walk along Muriwai beach with the New Zealand poet James K Baxter.</P>
